Improvement of the environmental performance of latxo sheep farms, through energy efficiency, power generation and reduction of the environmental footprint
The energy transition must serve to mobilize climate action
The energy model that we know today is obsolete. We are entering a new scenario in which it will be possible to cover a large part of the energy demand with renewable energies; in which the consumer will be able to make much more relevant decisions than simply choosing their energy supplier; in which telecommunications will take on a greater role than the transmitted and consumed energy itself; and in which a good part of the current infrastructures will be questioned.
The LATXA ENERGY Project works to turn the latxo sheep sector into an active agent in the electrification of consumption, through small, widely distributed generations, with multiple owners, and with new models of exchange and sharing of infrastructures and energy.
We are at the gates of a new reality, there are innumerable opportunities that are going to be generated, and from the LATXA ENERGY Project we are committed to innovation in cooperation as a working method to achieve results that provide improvements to the common good.
Project developed within the framework of aid for cooperation provided for in Decree 43/2017, corresponding to the 2019 financial year, and through which the Basque Government, within the framework of the OSOA program (Basque Country's Rural Development Program 2014-2020), and the community fund FEADER, support the project,
